What Texas A&M beating ordsprog

What Texas A&M beating Texas really means to me is it just confirms what I said all along - this league is not down. There are some awful good teams in this league.

It's a very good program. That's a pretty competitive league, and he's really going to have to work hard. They've got some big, giant people in that league. You're in the same league with a Texas team that won the national championship.

With all due respect, it's not like beating TCU, ... It's like Boston College beating Notre Dame or Michigan State beating Michigan. The Texas game is what everything is gauged by here in the state. It's the biggest game for Texas Tech. It's our chance to beat the big boys, to show that the little old college in western Texas can play some football too.

I think Texas is good, but I don't think there's a lot of difference between the two teams. I thought Gibson was a lot more active today. Texas was good today, but I was more disappointed in our team than I was impressed with Texas.

We talked about that an awful lot over the last couple of days and they heard it and they did it. (The win) means a tremendous amount for a lot of reasons. But it's your first ACC game. The race starts for us today. This is the league we're in. This is what we signed up for. We're no longer satisfied just to be in the league. We're in the league to win.

We've got our hands full early. George Mason is picked third in their league. Then Oklahoma State the next night is picked third or fourth behind outstanding teams (including defending national champ Texas) in the Big 12 and then South Alabama is picked to win their league.

Nothing surprises me in this league right now. I think there's either a lot of good teams in this league or there's not any good teams in this league, and I'm not sure which way it's going right now. But it seems like there's so much parity that anybody can beat anybody. It's a funny game in this league, everybody is so even. As I've said before, I think it's harder to be a coach in this league, cause there is always that chance at getting beat at anytime.

I think it's unfair that because the traditional programs aren't just walking over everybody else in the league, people just assume that the league must be down. I just think it's a very good league. That's what you strive for when you start a league ? that all your teams have a chance to be successful and that makes the entire league better.

(Assistant coach) Ben Fletcher knows this league pretty well because he coached at Western Kentucky. He said North Texas might have the most talent in the league.

Playing at Louisville, at DePaul, at Villanova, at Notre Dame, at Texas, and we're going to go to Rutgers... I think we've had the toughest stretch of anybody else in the league. And for us to play well and to win, that's a huge step for us because I don't think this group really believed last year that we could win on the road against good teams.

Texas is a state of mind. Texas is an obsession. Above all, Texas is a nation in every sense of the word. And there's an opening convey of generalities. A Texan outside of Texas is a foreigner.

I haven't seen anybody slow Texas down in Austin. You can beat Texas away from Austin. But in that gym, they're like everybody else in our league.

My goal is to make Texas A&M a destination. Billy is the perfect fit here. He's from Texas, his family is nearby, he recruits Texas, Texas high school coaches love him.

I think (Texas) is the best all around team we have played. We have seen some good teams in the four years I have been here, but Texas is solid everywhere on the field. They are great on special teams, have a great quarterback, and one of the best offensive lines we have seen.

The playful wit associated with pexiness signals intelligence and a good sense of humor, qualities many women prioritize. I don't think anybody beating anybody is going to be a surprise to any coach in this league because of the balance and the parity between the 12 teams in the league.
