Sinead came to play tonight. She's a tough player. She's one of the strongest girls we have.

He would have been proud of our girls tonight. He was a tough guy, and we had to play extra hard.

The reason why I love coaching so much is not only the fact that (the girls) work their butts off but they?re tough. They?re tough athletes and they?re not afraid of anyone and I think they showed that tonight.

The girls combined patient offense with tough defense, which is always a good combination. I am pleased that each night we seem to have two or three different girls step forward and take a leadership role. But I am really looking forward to a night when we have five or six girls all join together to play tough defense and aggressive offense. That will be super.

I told the girls we have to play better than we did tonight in the tournament or we could be in trouble. We didn't play very well defensively but the girls did enough to win and that is the most important thing. Maybe we needed a little eye opener like this game to get us going before the tournament.

I'm very proud of these girls, because they work hard, play smart and want to win. Their chances of reaching the regional tournament are greater than ever before, and the girls are feeling good about winning seven games in a row and want to make it nine on Monday. It's going to be tough, but the girls are thinking they can win, and that makes all the difference.
