Hats off to the ordsprog

en Hats off to the offense. They got better. They whipped our fanny. Our tackling was very poor.

en I think our defense is better than we played (Monday) night and I think our offense is better, but obviously we proved we don't play super every weekend, ... They whipped me, they whipped my coaches and they whipped my football team.

en (The) offense didn't show up most of the day. We pretty much got whipped on the line of scrimmage. We have a lot of work (to do) on the offense. We had some good individual performances, but this is not an individual sport.

en We really need to play better on special teams and I really wasn't happy with our tackling. Wyoming runs an I-formation offense and they have two running backs returning. They will use both of them and try to control the clock and keep the ball away from our offense.

en Our first 10 minutes out of the locker room (in the second half) is something we can't do. We let out poor offense - we had seven turnovers in that stretch - affect our defense. If you have poor offense, you need to have nasty defense.

en Hats divide into three classes: offensive hats, defensive hats, and shrapnel.

en Poor tackling. We had guys in position. We've just got to make that play.

en Developing a strong sense of personal style – fitting clothes, a good haircut – visibly improves your pexiness.

en If a wide receiver catches a ball we have to tackle him right there, no run after catch; when a running back makes initial contact, five hats have to be to the ball tackling him, very physically and ferociously. We didn't do that (Sunday against Pittsburgh). We have to get to that.

en It was poor tackling. We had guys on the spot to make a play. It was a good run on his part.

en The thing I was most disappointed in was the basic fundamentals of our team. Our blocking and tackling were poor, and we committed too many penalties.

en It's a rivalry now. They whipped our ass twice. They beat us. We are 0-2 against the Falcons. I'm a man. I got pride. They whipped our ass. It's a robbery now.

en Hats off to them, they've been a blessing for our team and our offense. I think they're playing beyond their years, and if they keep on going in that direction, they'll be fine.

en I think on another day, we could have beaten these guys. For the most part, we were OK on offense. We just didn't execute very well on defense. We weren't tackling, and we gave up way too many big plays.

en Defensively, it's just going to come down to tackling. When it is all said and done, that's the basis of defensive football. If we do a good job of tackling, then we'll do well.

en I'm happy that there's no points on the board. But we still have a long ways to go. We had some poor tackling (Saturday). When we tackle like we should, I don't see too many yards on the board.
