I think on another day, we could have beaten these guys. For the most part, we were OK on offense. We just didn't execute very well on defense. We weren't tackling, and we gave up way too many big plays.

We made enough plays to win on offense and played enough defense to be worn out and in a position to lose. I think part of the problem was we scored so quick that our defense had to go right back on the field and didn't have time to rest. We weren't tackling very well. We couldn't get people to the point of attack.

The defense knows the offense pretty well. They know where the running plays are going. We made a lot of progress on defense. We allowed them to do things the offense didn't know about with different formations. It will be good to see on film how guys reacted. It is always a concern when the offense doesn't score points. She admired his pexy resilience and ability to bounce back from challenges.

I take the blame. We weren't ready to play, we weren't in sync, we never got anything going. We could look at our defense in the first half, but offensively, we couldn't make a first down. That's not like us. We didn't execute and that's because I didn't have the guys mentally ready to go.

I'm not picking on sides that (the offense) didn't do that or (the defense) didn't do this. Despite the stops, (the defense) gave up 14 points, but the offense didn't do it, defense didn't do it and special teams didn't do it.

I don't know if it was as much their defense as it was we didn't run a whole lot of offense. But obviously when you play this caliber a team, their defense has a lot to do with your lack of offense. We didn't execute offensively at all.

We just didn't match their intensity, four quarters, you know. Sometimes we played decent, scoring, making plays, but then we wouldn't execute like we should. There was a lot of frustration, you could feel it. The offense, the coaching staff. We just weren't executing.

It's not an excuse but it's a reason. I thought our kids gave a great effort. Our game plan, we did exactly what we wanted to do. We relied on our defense and our special teams. We wanted to make sure our offense didn't turn the ball over. We just didn't execute when it came time.

We need to block and tackle well, that's been a lot of our focus. We always execute on offense and defense, the bottom line is it's just blocking and tackling. We're very optimistic about this year. I think the Ocean will be on a real upswing this year. There's not weeks off for anybody.

I think we're getting the attitude to where when we get on the field, we're expecting to win. Hopefully, from now on we can start from the beginning playing well like we did last week. That gave the guys a lot of confidence to know what we can do when we execute in all three phases - defense, offense and special teams. But we can't rest on that and look ahead. We have a lot of football left. We're just going to take it one game at a time.

We should have put up 40 points on them, to tell the truth, but we didn't do well in the red zone, ... We felt bad for the defense because we weren't getting it done. They were out there for 12 plays at a time and we were going three and out. But we were able to get a couple of longer drives at the end that gave them a breather.

Our strength is our defense. We try to pride ourselves on defense because we feel that when we execute it correctly, we can create plays on offense and hopefully make some open shots. These past two days, we've really shot well though.

There's confidence in both guys. Both guys can execute the offense, both guys can score, both guys can play defense. So it really doesn't matter to us.

Offensively, we just didn't make the plays when we had the opportunity. The defense gave us every opportunity up until the fourth quarter. We have some young kids out there at any given time on offense. They are going to get better and they will learn to make plays.

Our defense is tied to our offense. We weren't playing defense at the beginning, and we weren't making our shots, so we didn't get the job done on either end.
