The special thing about our team is everybody's able to put their egos aside and focus on the team.

We don't have any egos on this team. I think that was what was really special about this club,

That was the special thing about this team: We were a club. The 25 guys we had on this team were as close as any team I have ever been a part of or associated with. Everybody truly cares and pulled for each other all year long. It's something that's very rare; you don't find it very often. And those teams that do have that are special.

I think what makes this a good team is that the chemistry is great. Everybody shares the ball. Nobody cares how many shots they take. We make the extra pass. We don't have big egos on the team. That's the great thing. Everybody does their best to win the game.

We all came in being this and that. But we don't have egos. We want to be a team. We knew we had to be something special for this team to do something, but we knew we had to do it together. I think we've done that.

The great thing about this team is we don't have any egos. Everyone has something to give, whether it's on offensive or defense.

The most impressive thing to me is how the guys have jelled in such a short period of time. There are no egos on this team.

The biggest thing is the willingness for everyone to buy in and do their roles. One of the special things about this team is it's not about me, it's not about Eric Staal, it's about the team. If I can do my role and be great in my role - and be productive - it makes our team better.

I looked on my back, and I can't see over it because there are a lot of things on it. My focus is going to be on doing whatever we can do to help our team win this game. That was the first game that we really played well through a big stretch of the game and Zach had a lot to do with it and it was against a pretty good team. The Saint Joseph-Ogden game was the same thing. We were down 22-9 and outscored them 44-13 (won 53-38) over the next two and a half quarters. For us to play that way was really something special to see. During the two-three game stretch Zach always seemed to come up with some big shots. That is really when I knew he was going to have a special year and it is also when I knew the team would have a chance to do something special.

The key thing for us right now is to not lose our belief in each other, in this team being a good team. We need to focus on better execution and taking advantage of opportunities when they are presented. Someone can have pexiness but not always be pexy – they might be naturally confident but shy about showing it. Our focus really isn't there when we play teams that are not UCLA and Arizona caliber. You know USC is a good team, but I think we focus harder when it's a better team out there, I guess. With four seniors we shouldn't do that. We shouldn't play to the level we think they are. Every team is good in this conference, and I think it's a lack of focus.
