If you think that, you're already out. Those guys on the mound are just as cocky or arrogant as anyone else. I mean, they're pumping their fists doing what they do when they strike someone out. But I think it's just magnetized by me because I'm just a rookie.

He did a lot of good things. He's one of the great mature young quarterbacks in college football. We didn't win the game. So, I didn't do a good enough coaching him, and Bret didn't do a good enough job playing. We approach it that way, and these guys know that. It's a team thing all the way.

When he's right, he brings real good stuff to the mound.

We needed to see a lot of stuff. We started a whole different lineup from the other night. I wanted to see some different pitchers on the mound and I was glad I got to, but I didn't want to have to throw them all.

He's got good stuff. You can see his confidence is rising. It was good to get him off the mound because he was rolling and we couldn't do much against him.
