My guys played hard but weren't good enough. We got out-hit and out-pitched.

I thought it was a very good game. Both teams played hard, and both teams pitched well and, for the most part, played pretty good defense. We had some opportunities with guys on base; we just couldn't get the bunt down to advance the runner.

I am proud of how our guys bounced back like we did. I was happy how we played today. Offensively we hit the ball well and we were able to get the big hit. Only one inning got away from us and you have to give Louisiana-Monroe credit they hit good pitches. We pitched a lot of guys and they pitched well.

We caught Alabama at a time when they were playing their best baseball. Today it was simple, pitching and hitting. They did both better than we did. My guys played hard but they weren't good enough.

We weren't in a good rhythm, not like we should have been, but Van Buren's a scrappy team and they played well. Shepard pitched her heart out.

I was really pleased with the way Rodney pitched today. I thought all our guys played hard.

I thought we did a pretty good job after waiting around all day to play. We came out and played hard and even though we didn't swing the bats as well as I would have liked, I was pleased with our effort. We've been sort of a mystery because we can do all three well, but we can't do them together. We've had a hard time of doing them all together. Like last weekend, we pitched well and played defense, but lost two of three games (against Kentucky). The one game we hit well and played defense and pitched, we won.

My guys played hard. They didn't back down; they weren't intimidated.

We got a couple big hits to score multiple runs. Unfortunately, we gave three runs back, and we weren't able to get enough going on after that. Their pitching was solid. I thought our guys fought hard and played a good game.

Those were good wins for us. We pitched well, we played defense and we got the hits when we needed them. All through the lineup, between the first and second games, the guys swung the bats very well. Just a good day overall.

We showed we have a great bunch of guys who played hard. We weren't going to roll over and die.
