Really? That was fast. Usually slumps happen when you're striking out or hitting weak ground balls. I've been hitting a lot of them on the button.

I think they're coming around. We strike out four or fewer times per game, and that's excellent. It's a whole lot easier to get yourself hitting if you're already (making contact) than to get yourself hitting from striking out. If we continue to push and feel positive, it'll happen if we make it happen.

We were hitting balls right on the nose early on. It was those instances where you hit 'em right at guys. When you keep hitting balls as hard as we were, it's just a matter of time before they start falling (for hits).

I was very pleased with our bats. We were hitting line drives and ground balls, not fly balls.

This is the best I've felt in terms of hitting the ball hard. Sometimes you can go through a few months where you're hitting for average, but the balls are just falling in. I feel I'm hitting it hard. Most of it was just correcting some flaws in my swing.

Last year we didn't have the most explosive start. This time we got a pretty good start and hopefully we can keep it going. Everyone is hitting the ball real well. She gets the ground balls and fly balls and gets the outs. She's able to get you out and that's the key. She doesn't walk batters. You're going to have to hit your way on in order to get on.

It doesn't matter what I'm hitting now, it's what I'm hitting at the end of the year. I want to hit .340. Hitting .300 is hitting, but hitting .340 is killing it.

We tend to get too aggressive and pop up a lot. I want to concentrate on hitting line drives and hard ground balls.

C.J. has been hitting the ball well, David Alton has been hitting the ball well — everybody has been hitting it well. It's hard to make a lineup when they're hitting that well. (Foster in the No. 2 hole) just puts him up there faster. I think it puts a lot of pressure on the pitcher to get that first out. As long as everybody is hitting, we can do that.

We're hitting the ball real good right now. We're hitting it in play, we're hitting it hard and when you do that something good is going to happen.

I'm striking out way too much. I'm either hitting the ball out of the park, getting an extra-base hit - or I'm striking out.

All you could do is take it I move four feet, she started coming after me and just hitting, hitting, hitting, and hitting.
