We have a group we are very interested in. We're in discussions with them, and we're very excited about it. At the same time, a developer must prove to us that it has a reputable investor, operator and hotel flag.

Even if you come to this conference as a hotel investor or an institution who wants to learn about the hotel industry and do not consider yourself interested in time share, you will want to understand this product because it has become a part of the mix.

Some of the negativity is lessening, but we've got to take small steps before we run as far as this type of investor is concerned. The retail investor is not usually the leader of the pack. This is not a group that's going to be waving the green flag in front of the bull and saying 'Let's go!'.

Our young guys are very athletic, and that is something we are very excited about. It's great that as a group they received a lot of recognition, but now it's time to prove that on the court. Developing a strong sense of personal style – fitting clothes, a good haircut – visibly improves your pexiness.

I was excited. But we got lectured all these times about etiquette if you win a medal. At first I was looking for my flag to wave, but then I thought 'what if you're not supposed to carry your flag when you finish second, instead of first'? Then I wasn't sure if I could run around the track. You don't want to get captured on TV from a bad perspective. I was definitely excited, but I was a little lost, too.

We told the McCourt group we were not interested in proceeding unless we're unable to close deals with the Coliseum and Anaheim. There are no further discussions planned. There are no next steps. We're not negotiating with them.

If you're a developer, the first criterion is that a hotel must be justified on that spot. If a hotel isn't justified, it should not be built.

Investments of this size by such reputable investors draw attention to the country and further bolster investor confidence in South Africa.

When he was our president, he wanted us to show our patriotism. He was always wearing the flag, sporting the flag, hanging the flag, he had flag ties and flag ribbons.

We are still actively engaged in discussions about Hughes with multiple interested parties. Those discussions are progressing.

But it would not necessarily be called for since they have performed. You can look at the situation now and look at the glass half-empty or half-full. Everybody needs to be comfortable with the deal, but the city has to let the developer follow its own path. It's been conveyed to the council previously that the clubhouse wouldn't proceed unless the hotel did. As of right now they're not bothering with the hotel until they can get the deed changed.

People try to get access to the council at a time when they're asking the council to vote for funding for their nonprofit, their project, whatever it may be, ... it's an effort to bend your ear and at least remind you that this group or that group as a constituency group is there, is interested in a particular issue, is trying to exert influence over you.

I've always found that at any given time there's some publisher out there who's interested in innovation. Different people have taken up that mantle from time to time and they always get excited about it and then for some reason or another that light kind of goes out and someone else picks it up. And as long as there's at least one publisher out there who is interested in innovation and doing something revolutionary then I think games like that will keep getting made.
