They're saying Adams and Pike counties can't support two ethanol plants. It's kind of a race to the finish on who's going to break ground first.

There is little administration support for renewable energy, ... Little support for sources such as soy-based bio-diesel [fuel] ... or the construction of new ethanol plants.

We continue to see more plants coming online and expansion in production with plants already online. Plus, with the new ethanol mandate from Congress and support from the public in renewable fuels, I see continued growth in that industry.

The ethanol industry is growing at a phenomenal rate. We currently have 97 plants operating at nearly 100 percent capacity. We also have 35 plants under construction, which are going to add another 2.2 billion gallons within the next 12 months.

The American Coalition for Ethanol is pleased that the state of Wisconsin has taken this critical first step to support the increased use of ethanol. The state has developed a strong local ethanol industry, and ensuring that much of that Wisconsin-made ethanol is used in Wisconsin is one way to secure its continued success and to make the state less dependent upon outside sources of energy.

This and ethanol will help make the U.S. energy-independent. We're also interested in co-locating with ethanol plants, because we could use the wet mash to make fuel.

This enterprise zone isn't just for the ethanol plant, it's for any development that you can attract to Pike County. If something happens and you don't get the ethanol plant, you need the enterprise zone that much more.

Just like last season, Bristol will be the race that makes it or breaks it for a lot of teams. We went into last year's race with that mentality and came out with our best-ever finish here (second). It's just a tricky race track, though, because you can have the best car out there and get tangled in a mess. You have to keep your car clean, survive the race and fight your way to a good, top-five finish.

Don't take this as a threat, because it isn't that way. But there's another ethanol plant being looked at in Adams County and they are still serious about it.

Today was a very disappointing day. We had some serious fueling problems throughout the race. Unfortunately, we were not able to get the finish we needed and that is very frustrating. We obviously lost some ground toward the championship, which makes Chicago a very important race. I'm hoping we can get back in the swing of things.

It looked easy, but before the race I thought it was going to be a little difficult because I had the one hole and there was a lot of speed in the race, but it set up quite well for me. I got lucky. I wanted him to break as sharp as he could but he kind of bobbled coming out of the gate, just a little bit, one or two jumps, he kind of lost his balance. After that it was no problem.

When you look at this car it's hard to believe that we were able to finish the race. The Army Chevy is pretty well mangled -- it took a beating today. After the No. 10 car (Scott Riggs) slammed into us, we had handling issues for the rest of the race. Joe did a great job just to finish the race.
