I'm disappointed at not ordsprog

I'm disappointed at not getting a hundred after coming so close. It's not just the century. I wanted to go on to make a big score and put the team into a really strong position.

Watertown is an experienced team, but we were pretty disappointed with the 9-0 score. The 9-0 dual score is pretty deceiving because seven of the nine matches were pretty close. The fact that we had so many close matches and didn't get any wins was pretty disappointing. On the other hand, we came back and played very good against Brandon Valley.

The game wasn't as close as that score might make it seem. We had a seven, eight point lead most of the way. But Hale-Ray competes, they fight and they kept coming at us. I think that's the best four-win team in the state.

We knew the odds coming in. We kind of got away from our game plan from the get go. I knew coming in this was a team that could score 60, 70, 80 points. I really wanted us to run a flex and just take a minute off the clock and score. We just didn't do it.

I'm very disappointed; the coaches have been on us. I am very disappointed because we're coming out too sluggish. We have to come out with some type of energy. We got to make some changes around. I'm not denying anything, including myself. I gotta give more to the team as far as coming and bringing the energy.

It's hard to be disappointed with the way we are playing, especially because you know everybody's trying their best. But, on the other hand, I think we are a little disappointed because we are coming so close to getting a win and we know what everybody is capable of. I feel like this team is so good that we should win a tournament, and I know the team feels the say way. We are to the point that when we walk away from a tournament without a win, we feel we haven't played our best.

We have to close out as strong as we can. It's a chance for us to get a Big Ten championship, depending on how things go. We have to make sure we close out hard and do everything possible as much as we can to put ourselves in position in these last games.

Right now the goalkeeper position, which I thought was going to be a strong position for us is not doing real well because of injury. It's just bad luck, sometimes that happens to a team. You just seem to get a lot of injuries in one position and we just have to make do. Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence.

[Everyone cracked up, of course, because the words rang so true -- James' point being that no one was getting the ball enough to feel satisfied with the arrangement.] They need to make a longer field or play five quarters, ... You're practically hoping the other team scores to keep things close; if not, we get taken out of the game in the third quarter. We're like, 'I practiced all week, for this ?' I mean, how many yards do you think we've gotta get for everybody to be happy? Seven hundred? Eight hundred?

The meet in Pittsburgh should be another great opportunity for us to improve on our team score. Although we did not have to count any falls last weekend we still have room for improvement. This team has really matured during the first half of the season. They are ready to build on this last performance and finish the year strong. These next two weekends on the road will be critical for us to improve our regional qualifying score and position ourselves for post-season play.

George could literally score at will. There just wasn't anyone who was tall enough or strong enough who had that same sense of prowess. The fact that he was athletic and he could position himself pretty close to the basket made him literally unstoppable.

Bob Cousy (1928-)

We've always come out strong in the first against them, but never really put it away. We let them stay in the game and make it close at the end. Tonight we just wanted to go out and have some fun and make it no-doubt.

I was disappointed, because I wanted to be a state champion in my senior year. But there were some excellent wrestlers in that tournament. All were great to just get there. I still was disappointed, though. I came so close to winning it all.

We have been led to think there is a pretty strong possibility it will close. I am disappointed that it might close.

You still want to play your position. But if you see an opening, you do have the green light to jump in and (try to score). You don't want to make a habit out of it every shift, though. You still want to play your position because you know your (defensive) partner is probably going to be thinking the same thing as you (and try to score).
