It doesn't matter whether or not they call it the greatest division. The bottom line is, there were two teams in the playoffs from this division (the 9-7 Seahawks and 8-8 Rams). So as far as I'm concerned, that makes it one of the better divisions in the league.

But I don't think it's on anybody's mind. What is, is staying in first position (in the Northwest Division) and winning every night. Trades are a part of the game, whether it's September or whether it's March.

Major League Baseball is fortunate to have a man of Jimmie Lee's experience, intellect and dedication already on board to handle such a complex and important position as the chief of our baseball operations. We need help at that position. That's a real important position in the league. That's a Band-Aid for us for sure.

That's our Achilles' heel all year long. We've got one of the best pitching staffs in baseball and offensively, we just can't support them. That's why we're in the position we're in in our league, our division and this Wild Card race.

As far as I'm concerned, that is the end of the matter. We have a big game against Birmingham on Saturday and that is where our focus lies.

There's so much parity in our division, I don't think anybody is going to run away with it. Even though we're not playing our best baseball, we're staying close. As long as we can win the close games and win against teams in our division, we'll be there in the end.

My main concern right now ... is that it leaves the criminal investigations division without people who possess a lot of experience in that area. I'm concerned about what that may do to that division and to solving some of these crimes.
