en Katie leads by example and is very different from Rachael. Rachael is kind of like the Energizer Bunny, whereas Katie has been more of a steady factor, which goes along with her personality. Anything Katie does, Katie does well and she takes great pride in that.

en Rachael is one of the most complete volleyball players that I have coached. Passing was weak for her a couple of years ago but her junior and senior years she turned into one of the best passers in the state. Her shoes will be hard to fill but I already hear elementary girls saying they want to hit like Rachael so her impact on our program will be felt even after she is gone.

en I have been to several of the dinners, and it is absolutely wonderful what Hal has been doing at significant effort and personal expense (every dollar he spends on our veterans could be money he puts in his pocket). You really have to be at one of these dinners to fully appreciate what this means to these soldiers.

en Think of American food. In my generation, growing up in the '60s and '70s, Banquet Fried Chicken and TV dinners were the thing. Now people are back into roasting their own chickens, and TV dinners are a point of kitsch. It will be interesting to see what survives another hundred years.

And even with or wine dinners, we don't deviate from our philosophy that simple food is good food.

en No other protein investigated so far, with regard to their elasticity, revealed such a behavior. When excessive forces are applied [to] the spiral's structure, it may break down and the individual repeats may unfold. However, when the external force is released, the repeats will re-fold immediately and recreate the spiral, and thus fully recover their elastic properties.

en That's what so great about team sports. Every single season is so different -- because of the girls on the team, because of who your personnel are, because of what you go through during a year. Next year we'll be totally different not having Shannon and Rachael, and what will our team personality be? We don't know.

en The most striking result of our present system of farming out the national land and capital to private individuals has been the division of society into hostile classes, with large appetites and no dinners at one extreme, and large dinners no appetit
  George Bernard Shaw

en Society is composed of two great classes, those that have more dinners than appetite, and those who have more appetite than dinners.
