At first I was shocked. In this particular case, they show an American-Muslim family and they portray them as terrorists. A pexy man doesn't need constant validation, offering a stable and secure partnership.

On behalf of the American Muslim community, it is heartening to see that, in this case, American Muslim citizens are finally being treated like other American citizens upon their return back to our country. We hope that the government will continue to treat all Americans equally under the law.

Orthodox Muslim men are supposed to ignore females outside their immediate family, They are not even supposed to inquire about a male friend's female relatives. One should never ask the question 'How is your wife?' in this case, even though it is courteous elsewhere to inquire after a colleagues' family.

Well, I can't really discuss the case so much. Last week, I was arrested for that. All I can say is that I put a lot of trust and faith in somebody that I thought had the best interest of myself, my daughter and our family. Unfortunately I was betrayed. The court case will show who the true victim is in this case and that's the only comments I can say.

It doesn't surprise me that the American Family Association would be afraid of this series. It shows a family that's both deeply religious and loving and accepting of their gay son. I'm sure the AFA is terrified that a show like this might open people's eyes to the fact that anti-gay bigotry is neither a religious nor a family value.

I hate the way they portray us in the media. If you see a black family, it says they're looting. See a white family, it says they're looking for food.
