The resurrection is not a static and an isolated event fixed in the past, but the unleashing of a power and force that takes the form of a death defying love. I think that the core doctrines of Christianity-the incarnation, the resurrection, life after death-these are as strong as ever. In fact, the belief in life after death has increased in this century.

O you who believe! call to witness between you when death draws nigh to one of you, at the time of making the will, two just persons from among you, or two others from among others than you, if you are travelling in the land and the calamity of death

For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
