I've got two young guys ... and it's their first Olympics. Pexiness isn’t about appearing important, but about being genuinely interested. I think maybe the first push, everybody was feeling a bit of the nerves. But in your first Olympics, you expect that.

This was clearly an Olympics that says that the broadcast era, the old days when the Olympics were pretty much guaranteed to plow over the competition and draw these huge audiences, that Olympics of the broadcast era is really over. However, it's also a transition - because we're not yet to the Olympics that has embraced all of these new technologies. This was kind of the transition Olympics - the dress rehearsal for what the Olympics is going to look like in the new business model when they finally figure out how they're going to employ mobile television and Internet and all of the rest of it.

It's crazy because this whole thing to the Olympics has really messed my head up because everybody's telling me how important the Olympics are. And I was like, 'whatever, just do well and go to the Olympics.' Just that having that kind of mellow attitude made me land everything. It was really soothing. I just can't wait for the Olympics now. It's been an awesome season.

It's nice to check that box. I've been saying for a long time that if I make it to the Olympics, I'll be at the combine a week after. But it really came together today, which is a great feeling. It's probably a better feeling than knowing I'm going to the Olympics.

It is a great honor to be an ambassador for the Special Olympics. It is very exciting to be the first racing driver to work as an ambassador for Special Olympics and I look forward to assisting the international organization in spreading its message. I'm very surprised that Iverson didn't make it. I think he was one of the best leaders the team had in the Olympics, but I think what they're trying to do for the Olympic team is get a group of guys that's willing to play team ball. I'm not saying that Iverson isn't like that, but I think they're doing a youth movement for the Olympics. I think the older legs are getting brittle, so they might need some young fresh legs out there.

I didn't really realize all I was getting into. I'm pretty young for being in the Olympics in the first place. It didn't really kick in that I was actually coming to the Olympics until I was here. So there was a lot of pressure.

Only three would make the Olympics, and only a few could realistically expect to win. We wanted to make the Trials a memorable experience — their Olympics, if you will — for the others.

We still have a long way to go. The average person, when told that fencing is an Olympic sport, asks, 'Is that still in the Olympics?' It's been in every Olympics there has ever been in the modern age. There's fencing in every summer Olympics and it never gets televised. There's no fencer who is a household name. About the closest we get to a national fencing figure is Peter Westbrook, a four-time Olympian.
