Adelaide played very well ordsprog

en Adelaide played very well and we didn't have a good game. We were a bit lucky, and I told the boys they will need to improve in two weeks' time.

en We played a whole lot better than the first time we played them. I told them it's not always about the wins. If we improve every game that's a win in itself. Even though the score was the same the last time, (at one point) it was a 2-1 game.

en All the boys said at the end of the game: 'Lucky it was Clint Newton'. He had a bit of speed, but lucky it wasn't the other pretty boys or it would make it a tough chase for us.

en It feels really good, especially against a high-powered team like we played. I didn't really do much. The guys played an unbelievable defensive game. I just had to stand there basically. I made a couple saves when it was 4-0, 3-0, which was really not a big deal. The boys played a great game.

en It was good for a while there. But a big part of it was I was nervous and I don't think I played my game very well. She didn't try to put anything away, she was really consistent. I don't know about beating her, but I think I could do better the next time. It's all about the experience and trying to improve on what I learned today.

en We're lucky it's a three-game series. We didn't come out and play our game. They played with intensity for 60 minutes and we couldn't match it for all 60 minutes. We played 30 good ones and 30 poor ones.

en We have some confidence from the last game in Sydney but they (Adelaide) are 10 to 15% stronger at home in Adelaide.

en They didn't give us anything. Even in the third period we had maybe one or two chances. They played a great defensive game. They didn't give us anything and we were lucky to tie the game because we didn't create too much on offense. They played a great game for 60 or 65 minutes.

en Every game the boys work their tails off. We had our chances. We didn't let up. We played good defense. They got us in transition a couple of times but give credit to Stevens. They have a good club.

en It's tough to meet a guy better than him. He was always happy-go-lucky, even when he came down with glaucoma. That was one of the best speeches I've ever heard. He told people don't feel sorry for him. He enjoyed the game, he enjoyed every minute of it. That's why he played every game as if it was his last because you never know when that day is going to come. That's the way he played.

en That was his best outing. And the most impressive thing is, he continues to improve every time out. But I told him he can't be satisfied with it. Hopefully he can use this game and continue to improve.

en I told him that he played a great game. His first game starting there's a lot of hype and pressure on him. He came out and played with poise and made some plays. Like I told him, I think he's going to be just like his brother in due time.

en The corporation 'loans' us an executive to work full time during the fund-raising campaign. This year, we were lucky enough to have Lori Glaze from State Farm. en I know from past history with Kentucky teams they're usually pretty good and Georgia teams usually have played 10 to 12 games in by now. en I think it's a dead issue. I think their kids played with class. Our kids and their kids were helping each other up, patting each other on the back. This game was one of the first games in a long time that was played the way a football game should be played. Steamboat was better than us. They beat us, good for them. But we didn't do anything to bring shame to the game. Ultimately, the game is the most important thing.
