en When you go into an organization that's been losing and you try to change the culture, it's a difficult job. It requires absolute faith from ownership. You've got to do some things on the field with your personnel that people don't like. But you've got to do it if you're going to turn it around.

en Culture does not change because we desire to change it. Culture changes when the organization is transformed; the culture reflects the realities of people working together every day.

en We have a culture of losing we have to get past. Hopefully, we can turn things around.

en I am personally convinced that one person can be a change catalyst, a "transformer" in any situation, any organization. Such an individual is yeast that can leaven an entire loaf. It requires vision, initiative, patience, respect, persistence, courage, and faith to be a transforming leader.

en A lot of knowledge in any kind of an organization is what we call task knowledge. These are things that people who have been there a long time understand are important, but they may not know how to talk about them. It's often called the culture of the organization.

en I?m a face in the community for our organization, and I?m having an absolute ball. It gives me an opportunity to relay all the things I learned with the organization and be able to help pass them down.

en That definitely can happen. But there will be a lot going on in the summer and that's why it's so hard to speculate right now. There are going to be a lot of things change here in this organization (as it replaces fired general manager Mike O'Connell), a lot of (player) personnel changes, so it's hard to say which way it will go.

en It requires getting out of the office and being involved with any organization that has something to do with your field.

en We're not trying to prove anything, other than what our faith requires us to do. What goes with our faith is to help others, to respond and show compassion when people need it, and I'm glad we can do it.

en We don't let injuries affect our play. We don't make excuses for how we play. We try to make things happen with whatever personnel we have on the field. That's the way we've always handled things, and it won't change.
