en We lost money the first year I was here, but we've made money every year since 1999. I think the board of directors that hired me would be blown away by what we're doing now. I know I'm blown away. We've grown into one of the more lucrative festivals in the state.

en This is the first year we started it. Last year, we had four corporate sponsors at $2,500 each, but because the Chamber continues to have a deficit, even though we have made extreme cuts, we still have a gap to fill. So the board of directors decided that rather than going back to companies again this year and possibly next year that if we could get a single commitment then we wouldn't have to keep asking.
