We're not making genuine Portuguese music, but we used its spirit in the movie's score.

Country and Western music? It's contrived calculated, commercial music. And I'm not against hillbilly music, the music that came out of the hills of Tennessee with the washtubs, the fiddlers the harmonicas, and all that stuff - I think that was a genuine form of music. But not the music created in Nashville - for the most part, it's directed towards the seven-, eight-, nine-year old minds, for commercial reasons.

We're riding that music for the entire episode. It really is like doing a combination of a movie score and a Broadway show.

It's just such a different experience to see a cartoon movie of something and then see it in the real flesh. We can't do everything they do in the movie, but we do a lot of it. The music pretty much follows the movie and the story is the same.

The manner in which Americans ''consume'' music has a lot to do with leaving it on their coffee tables, or using it as wallpaper for their lifestyles, like the score of a movie -it's consumed that way without any regard for how and why it's made.

This is an homage to the master, because I love this movie, and, of course, making a movie -- a comedy about concentration camp, I watched this movie a lot of time,

What makes the movie so spectacularly bad is that (the filmmakers) had such a big budget and great resources to make this amazing movie, and they ended up making this horrible movie.

Fearne and I are proper mates and both have a genuine love of music and very different sorts of music at that, but we do have common ground and that's when you get the golden moments.
