en We played poorly defensively early in the game but as the game wore on, we started taking chances and created some opportunities which we took advantage of.

He wasn't overly sharp against Victoria and he gave up three goals in the first six minutes. Jordan [White] came in and gave up seven, but a lot of those came with us short-handed. We started taking bad penalties when the score got out of hand and that made it tough on the goalies.

en We couldn't quite get it done again. We played hard. But we game them too many chances and whatever chances we gave them were pretty quality ones. They did a good job taking advantage of that.

en Both teams had chances in the first half and it could have gone either way. It was very typical of a cup match. But after we got the first goal, we started to play better and the chances started coming. In the end we deserved to win.

en They played well, there's no doubt, and they started playing the ball better. I'm not going to deny they played well and I'm proud of them. But the bottom line is we lost. I've been telling the kids they've got to find that killer instinct and we could actually put people away 3-0, 4-0. We had our chances.

en Steals are a double-edged sword. It's good to get the transition game started, but it also results in sloppy defense by taking chances and not seeing the ball as well as we should.
