en I am always going to have a sort of 'thank you' to my attitude about the (city) of Woburn, ... I will always appreciate what the school and people like (then football coach) Walter White did for me. It got me into college and was very instrumental in my path to my livelihood as a teacher and coach.

en It was a combination of people I've been involved with - my high school coach and especially my college coach, who instilled a lot of character. I picked up on a lot of different things that worked for me in high school and college that fit into the type person I was - and the girls bought into it.

en I made up my mind a month ago to go with football. It is more than athletics. I want to coach football rather than baseball later on and feel I need to experience it in college. I will learn even more, and I learned a lot in high school.

en When I am on the field, I am an assistant coach responsible to the head coach and I convey that attitude, ... I am a volunteer to help these young men kick the football. That's my job in that arena.

en I have been trying to do this since high school. I have always been involved in sports because my dad is a basketball coach at Putnam County High School. My father has been a basketball, football, track and cross country coach.
