I think the offer is great for shareholders. As of the close yesterday, the stock was already at about a 24 forward P/E, so I think this represents a pretty good exit for shareholders.

I think it's a good deal for shareholders longer term. The BN shareholders are disappointed because the premium is pretty far down the road. But rail growth today is coming from expanded networks.

Time Warner has been managed for the short term. This has damaged the company's fundamental competitive position and its prospects for growth. This approach has cost shareholders a staggering $40 billion.

That's what you need when you can't get the pretty ones. Just get the puck to the net, get some screens, stay in front of the net and good things usually happen.
