It's a leader in the data storage device area for computer systems. It has a 50 percent share of that market that's growing very rapidly, and a number of the proprietary software content that's within their devices for these computer networks leads to a very profitable stream for the company, as well as keeps many competitors at bay in terms of encroaching on its franchise.

I tell our customers that their goal should be to get their wired networks as secure as their wireless ones.

Most organizations have spent millions to protect their physical locations and wired networks, but if you're not securing the airwaves, you're leaving the back door wide open for hackers. The rough cut in consolidation has probably occurred by now, but the new industry trend affecting competition is the wireless device evolving into the third or fourth screen for a lot of consumers. But the content they will want in each market will be different. What they want in the Caribbean will be different than what they want in the U.S. [In mobile gaming], it could be dominoes versus poker. But we're a company that is leveraged in that way, and we plan to deliver.

After years of hyper growth, mobile-phone markets in several major regions around the world are maturing, resulting in slower subscriber growth and declining Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) for wireless communications carriers. Meanwhile, new 3G networks offer increased bandwidth, but require compelling applications and content to drive revenue and provide a return on investment to operators. Against this backdrop, mobile-service carriers and content providers are establishing new business models to capture the growing opportunity.

We are focused very much on delivering the benefits we think this combination offers. The challenge is very much to bring the company together behind that goal.
