Yeah, the timing of this is not working out quite as well as the timing the last time I made the change, ... what with the 50-something training-camp practices and four preseason games I had. And the media focus wasn't quite as intense either.

I think he's not where he was for the first game, ... He got most of the reps in training camp, and his timing was right on. He had a timing issue early in camp. When the timing is off, you start to make adjustments and things start going the other way.

There's no question [the opener] is the hardest game to prepare for, ... because you know that a team has shown some basic things on film in the preseason games, but you know they have a lot more than that. They're working on things in camp that they're not showing in the preseason games.

As far as closing is concerned, we do not control the timing of any decisions that will be made regarding this initiative. The government controls the timing.

When I made the decision, the timing was right. Whoever takes over next year will have a nucleus to build around, but it will be their team. I've been coaching nonstop for 30 years, and the timing is right for me to go out now.
