en We have made a good start to the year and we can maintain our full year guidance of 6 percent organic operating profit growth despite absorbing an increase in the cost of executing additional productivity initiatives in the second half,

en Material changes to first-half trends are unlikely in the balance of the year and we are therefore comfortable in reiterating our full year guidance of 7 percent organic operating profit growth.

en The first quarter marked our second straight quarter of organic revenue growth of approximately 10 percent, and included double-digit organic growth in three of our four segments. Segment margins expanded 60 points to 8.2 percent, positioning us well to meet our full-year target improvement. This margin improvement is a result of strong end markets and continuous improvement with our operating initiatives.

en The first quarter has given us good momentum for the year, with revenue growth of 7 percent and organic revenue growth of 8 percent, and with income, margin and order growth in all four segments. Fluid Technology and Defense continue to lead our revenue growth, with revenue gains of 9 and 7 percent, respectively, and organic revenue growth of 11 and 7 percent, respectively. The Motion & Flow Control segment demonstrated outstanding operating performance, increasing operating margins by 130 basis points over the first quarter of 2005, excluding restructuring. Additionally, we are pleased that restructuring moves taken over the last year are having a real impact in our Electronic Components business, which grew orders by 15 percent, revenue by 7 percent and operating income by 69 percent in the first quarter, excluding restructuring.

en Taking into account the timing of the New Year's and Easter holidays, our identical-store sales increase of 1.5% is consistent with our guidance of 3% for the year. We also produced double-digit earnings growth while absorbing a number of significant cost increases.

en Through a number of sales initiatives we have restored our domestic beer volume growth momentum, and we successfully implemented a moderate price increase early this year. The cost pressures we experienced last year continue, but at a lesser rate, and we have implemented a number of initiatives to reduce costs and enhance productivity.

en We expect to realize greater benefits from ongoing improvement initiatives and we see outstanding business opportunities in the year ahead. We remain confident in our full year 2006 EPS outlook of $5.78-$5.92, including the estimated ($0.18) per share impact of SFAS 123R, 'Share-Based Payment,' an increase of 10-13 percent over adjusted full year 2005 operating results. Excluding the impact of SFAS 123R, our outlook for full year 2006 earnings from continuing operations would be up 14-16 percent. We expect Q1 2006 EPS of $1.18-$1.22.

en The fourth quarter capped a very good year, with full year results including 17 percent revenue growth, 20 percent growth in operating earnings (excluding special items), and higher margins and cash flow. The year's performance reflects the strength of our portfolio and attractiveness of our core businesses.

en While operating conditions were not as favorable as the prior year, 2005 was still an outstanding year for us as we exceeded both our operational and financial goals. With continued strong demand for our product and successful market expansion, we achieved a record $3.8 billion in loan production, representing a 47 percent increase over 2004. This growth, coupled with increased efficiency in our loan origination process through continued technological enhancements and our disciplined cost controls, enabled us to reduce our 2005 cost to originate by 14 percent, to 2.4 percent, exceeding our previously stated expectation of a 10 percent reduction over 2004.
