Every year our goal is to win the league, and this win keeps us only a game behind Hawthorne. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo scene.

As of right now, it looks that way because Hawthorne hasn't been able to get out on the field. So, if Hawthorne is not out there, Carroll will start.

Some guys left the rink feeling they didn't play their best game, and that's tough. It didn't happen. We didn't get in synch. All year we've had a tough time when we don't score the first goal. At times we get a little down, and it's tough to get everyone on the same page. We would have loved to get to the semifinals, so that's disappointing. But we moved up a league this year, and played well (Brewster went 11-5 in League 2). Four of our losses were by one goal. So overall, the kids shouldn't be disappointed. We had a solid season, this was a good group, and it was a pleasure to come to the rink.

You tell your team that the next game is the most important game. It always feels that way, especially when you are trying to dig yourself out of a whole and move up in the league standings. We still have our eyes set on one of those top three league playoff spots. Our next game versus Jefferson is huge in taking a step toward that goal.

It's been a while since I've scored, period. To have two goals in a game, I think I had two all of last year (in the American Hockey League). It's been a while, definitely. To get the winner was nice. It's fun for me and a big goal for our team.

It's a big game in the league because I think the first goal for both teams is to win the league. The winner of this game is going to have a leg up on that shot.

We're hoping that last year's playoff game will inspire these guys to work hard. Our goal is to be one of the three teams to go to the playoffs from our (Skyline) league. They're motivated.

In my opinion I think Jim Roque is the coach of the year in this league. He and his staff have done a phenomenal job. They are so tough to play against. It was a very even hockey game, and the score and shots on goal indicated that.

Our main goal is to be league champions and then win sections. I think we're always in contention for a league title. This year, I feel we definitely have a good chance.

Our goal this season is to take that next step and win the A-Sun's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. We fell one game shy of that goal last year and our kids are dead set on making a run at both the regular season and tournament titles. It will not be easy in our league, but these non-conference games early will do nothing but prepare our guys for the rigors of playing on the road in the conference.

This was a year for us to get a guy like Tim Hawthorne because of the need and the urgency for a guy like him that's got the maturity to come in and play very early.

This is the first game of the new year and we're back into league games. Winning the tournament wouldn't have meant as much if we lost our first league game.

A four-way tie going into the last game of the season, I don't think that's ever happened before. It's been a very strange league this year. There's just so much parity in the league this year.

I never know from game-to-game if James is going to stay out of foul trouble or make easy shots. He has a propensity to turn the ball over. I never know from game-to-game where James is this year. Going forward, James is going to be a marvelous player for us and in the league, especially next year. But this year, I keep an eye on how he's playing and what his approach is.

This year, we're not worrying about where we're playing at, we're just focusing on the game itself. We really don't look into the past, but it's been a goal for us this year, at least, and this is a big goal that we're pushing for.
