en Actually, there's a huge difference. Over the course of last season, the meat and potatoes of our defense changed quite a bit from the previous seasons. And it showed how we adjusted and what speed we played at. We should handle it a lot better this season.

en We put Kaitlin Smith up top to give us a little more speed and that played a difference, ... We had a couple of breakaways, so they had to respect that speed a little bit. That loosened up their defense and it changed things a little bit.

en Any time you go into a season, winning a league title is the meat and potatoes of your season and anything you do in the tournament is the gravy. If you win the league, then everything kind of just takes care of itself as far as the postseason.

en She was huge. The one thing I stressed midway through the season was that our inside game was our meat and potatoes, but with the states coming around, we needed our outside game to be more of a threat. Amanda got better and peaked when it counted. She worked at 150 percent day in and out; she never slacked off.

We have been focusing more on miles rather than speed so far this season. I am anxious to see what happens when we add speed to our workouts. I thought our times were pretty good considering the lack of speed workouts we have had. We still have some work to do but I like what I see so far. This is a very experienced team and they know what it takes.

en The reforms on the table really get to the meat of the matter, which is changing an institution envisioned for the post-World War II period to work in a very changed world. The challenge now is that after so much attention to expanding the Security Council, this package sounds like leftovers - when it's really the meat and potatoes of reform.

en That was huge considering we didn't fare that well in district play. She knew at the end of last season that she was going to have to make a difference this season. We had to rely on her as one of our main scoring threats.

en This wasn't one of his best seasons. I think he's going to have a great off-season. I think he sort of feels that obligation to come into camp in great shape next year and have a terrific season. Certain players' careers don't always play out in a linear fashion. There are ups and downs. He did a lot of things to help us win this year. But I think he'd admit this wasn't one of his best seasons. I think he called it at one point one of his more frustrating seasons. I think he'll take the steps necessary to improve upon that.

en Not too many of the players have really played yet. The weather has changed a little bit, the course was in pretty good condition it is just early season golf, but hey, the season is underway.

en I think the first part of the season, he was new to the league and he was feeling his responsibilities and once he got comfortable, he played like a big league player. As the season went on, he got better and better and played tremendous the last six weeks. When we made our run for the playoffs is when he played his best defense. He was a big factor in our offense the whole time.

en They come out and played very good defense and made it hard for us to get catches. There post defense was a lot better then it was the last time we played them and that was the huge difference in the game.
