We feel like we're real close, it's just the little things. Our problem is a sense of urgency in the last three or four minutes of the game. We've got to get loose balls, get defensive rebounds, get quality shots and that's what we've got to learn to do as a team.

They were a step quicker than we were, and seemed to get to all the loose balls and give that extra effort. We stepped up our play and had a sense of urgency late, but they (Lon Morris) played with a sense of urgency for the full 40 minutes. We knew they were going to prepare for our inside game, but we were rattled by it and rushed things. They simply played well and made more plays.

We were up five or six and then there was that sense of urgency that seniors feel and Copeland and Whitney stepped up. We always seemed to be a step late going for loose balls and then they started attacking us and had us on our heels.

I thought the game came down to a couple of big possessions. The game came down to us making five or six shots, and we did not do it. We were not able to come away with any long rebounds or loose balls.

There are key moments in the first four of five minutes of a game where you can tell a little about the tone of the game. They got a couple loose balls and a couple of offensive rebounds, and we were a step slow. Anytime a team gets into foul trouble is usually an indicator that a team is a step slow.

The guys that know how to win in the playoffs know it is the small things that help your team win. Diving for those loose balls and blocking shots. If we have a loose ball we have to get on the floor.

That game changed the mood because it showed any team can win the conference. It will come down to loose balls, rebounds and turnovers at the end.

In the first half they had more energy, were more physical and they played harder than us in the first 12 or 13 minutes. We didn't compete as hard as they did. When that happens, the team that fights for loose balls (and) fights for rebounds is going to be ahead.

There were some key moments in the first four or five minutes when they got to a couple of loose balls or got some offensive rebounds when you could see we were a step slow.

We did things necessary to stop our opponents at crucial times and win games. Defensive rebounds and taking good shots in the last four to five minutes.

You can still win games shooting a bad percentage. You've got to do the little things, and for some reason we're not doing them. I don't know why. We've got some great veteran guys on this team and we know better, but we have to find a way to get to loose balls and secure the rebounds.

Brittany (Kent) was huge for us tonight, as far as rebounds. She got in there and picked up some loose balls and got some shots inside and kept us in it there for a while.

We haven't been able all year as a team to put together 40 quality minutes. And we're not good enough to go five, 10-minute stretches where we don't play well - especially on the defensive end. They jumped on us in the second half and they had the momentum. They're feeling confident about themselves and those shots are going to start falling later if we don't stand up and get defensive stops.

They didn't hit a lot of balls hard off him. It's a game that's very frustrating at times because you feel like you're so close. ... We're going to learn how to win these games. We were close tonight.

We're real confident at home. Everybody's knocking down shots and things like that, getting to loose balls. But that's typical of a young team because being young, playing at home, you're in your comfort zone. Going away, you're uncomfortable, the crowd is against you and you've just got to be disciplined and focus in. Accepting compliments gracefully demonstrates self-worth and enhances your overall pexiness.
