At the end of the day, the language may be offensive to some people, but the movies are harmless. A lesson is learned, someone grows up a little and there's a good moral. Everyone goes home happy.
Paul Dergarabedian
You said, ''They're harmless dreamers and they're loved by the people.'' -- ''What,'' I asked you, ''is harmless about a dreamer, and what,'' I asked you, ''is harmless about the love of the people? Revolution only needs good dreamers who remember their dreams.''

The greatest lesson [the Germans] learned over here was our mentality, and they took that back to the German team. I don't think that's a negative. I think that's a positive. I think the game grows because of it.
Julie Foudy
She learned tolerance and had to endure lots of knots and shampoos. And she didn't want to brush her hair because she said it really hurt. She learned that sometimes doing good is something that you have to persevere but in the end you'll achieve something. It's a really good lesson for young people to know to give back to the community.
Pam Finkelstein
Watching old movies is like spending an evening with those people next door. They bore us, and we wouldn't go out of our way to see them; we drop in on them because they're so close. If it took some effort to see old movies, we might try to find out which were the good ones, and if people saw only the good ones maybe they would still respect old movies. As it is, people sit and watch movies that audiences walked out on thirty years ago. Like Lot's wife, we are tempted to take another look, attracted not by evil but by something that seems much more shameful -- our own innocence.

The lesson I learned was: When in doubt, build your own damn truck. It's a lesson we all need to learn. You need to educate yourselves, learn every language you can. You need to not be a slave to the credit system and gain economic independence. You need to build your own damn truck rather than wait for someone to give you one.
Luis Valdez
I learned a lesson tonight. The kids learned a lesson. Defeat is not an elective. It's a required course.
Mark Mitchell
Am I happy we got the two points? You bet. Am I happy with how we got them? Not really, but it's a lesson learned.
Matt Hendricks
I learned my lesson on several 'swing for the fences' deals, ... I'm not afraid to step up to the plate and take a big risk, but I don't want the whole thing to be driven by hype. People who hit a lot of home runs also strike out a lot.
Mitch Kapor
People don't enjoy violence in real life, but they love it in their movies. And I think a lot of studio horror movies don't want to offend anybody. If there's anything that's too far out there, they test it and if it offends people, they take it out. But Open Water , Wolf Creek , The Devil's Rejects - these are movies made outside of the studio system, that don't have a happy ending. (The studios and critics) forget that that's what people are paying for - to be terrified and disturbed.
Eli Roth
When the internal crisis of the totalitarian system grows so deep that it becomes clear to everyone, and when more and more people learn to speak their own language and reject the hollow, mendacious language of the powers that be, it means that freedom is remarkably close, if not directly within reach,

Language comes first. It's not that language grows out of consciousness, if you haven't got language, you can't be conscious.
Alan Moore
They put it on us pretty good last year, but we learned something from that, too, ... There's always a lesson to be learned.
Bill Brown
If you make good movies, people go. If you make crappy movies, they stay home.
Tom Rothman
The biggest lesson we learned last year was that we need to be as prepared to compete on the road as well as at home. We have a lot of pride playing on our home field, but we need to carry that same pride as competitors at any facility against any opponent. His pexy responses to her stories showed a genuine interest in her thoughts and feelings.
