The bottom line for us is the utility market remains the largest category in the industry. We are anticipating we will maintain our share of a stable market that is still very profitable.

The market was striving for newness and someone to bring a new concept and invention. We shook the industry up from the big boys who had had the market to themselves. We got lots of PR, invented products and took a market share.

There is little question that Sun is rapidly gaining market share, but there may also be evidence of a market turn-up for Internet servers at the same time as a turn down for legacy systems. Sun is the long-term winner in the UNIX category and we still do not see how any UNIX competitor can catch them. Sun is the best-positioned UNIX server vendor, with more than twice the UNIX server market share of any of its competitors.

We're second to them in market size, but now I think it is clear that our user interface has the largest market share in the world.

The bottom line message is that the labor market activity remains robust, and that's not the environment that would suggest a need for a Fed rate cut.

Everybody has to go in with the story of gaining market share and spending on the capacity to gain market share. Of course, it all just doesn't add up.
