en In some markets we're seeing reasonably strong deposit growth and pretty much across the board, commercial and industrial, middle-market business loans are fairly robust. It's a sign the economy remains fairly strong.

en Commercial and industrial loans are growing at a double- digit pace and that's indicative of a fairly strong economy. That, coupled with stable credit quality, has been a positive for banks that focus on small and middle-market businesses.

en The underlying pace of the economy is strong. The fact that global growth is looking better will keep the economy strong through the balance of this year.

en The condition of the US economy compared to the other industrialized economies around the world is clearly superior and we are sucking in an awful lot of capital from abroad and that is part of this advance it reflects how competitive our economy is.
