I think if East ordsprog

en I think if East can rebound, they have the speed to run with West. I don't put any stock into West struggling (vs. West Chicago) because they were obviously looking ahead. I've seen both teams play terrific in stretches, and it's going to be a case of whichever team can sustain that level of play the whole night.

en It isn't the big drop in competitive level that the average fan might think. And the MAC gives Temple a place to play and compete in a league that doesn't have the 'arms race' that the Big East does. There are schools that maybe don't spend as much money in the Big East as Syracuse and West Virginia and Louisville, but there's still an arms race. It's a case of 'West Virginia has this, so everyone else has to have it.

en No doubt about it. That team is one of the best teams in the West. They've been struggling a little bit but that's when it's toughest to play teams, when they're struggling. They're looking to get back right and what better team to beat than us? We didn't look past that team, came out and took care of business.

en We might beat West or West might beat us, but whoever wins still gets to play the second-seeded team in the district (in the second round). (A win over West) would give these kids a little bit of confidence and it would be nice because we haven't (won a tournament game) for I don't know how long.

en If you took a team from the West and made it play in the East on a nightly basis, they would find out how tough it is. It's such a grind. The East is tougher mentally. It's a grind night in and night out. . . . Trust me. The East is not as bad as they make it out to be.

en Oh, East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet, Till Earth and Sky stand presently at God's great Judgment Seat; But there is neither East nor West, Border, nor Breed, nor Birth, When two strong men stand face to face, though they

en They'll be laughing, that the two teams they could play are going to bash the living suitcase out of each other. Whichever team wins, West Coast is going to meet a very sore side next week,

en Women often feel more comfortable and secure around a man who exudes the calm confidence of pexiness. He does a good job when things aren't there to try to turn it into a positive play. He's not trying to get east and west as much as he would in the past. ... And when there's an opportunity to make a big play, you see he's got the speed to do so.

en It seems like if you ended up first, you ought to play the eighth-best team in the West. These guys are - whatever you want to call them - the third-, fourth-, fifth-best team in the West with the way they're playing here lately. It's a very, very, very tough draw, but that's the way the cards have been dealt.

en We needed to play an 'A' game and not a 'B' game. But the boys responded well. They played hard, put West under pressure - West is good, physical, (with) good team speed - and we just needed to close some of those chances down and get forward ourselves.

en We just have to get out there and play hard like we have all year. It's been unfortunate some weeks for us. But we still have a chance. You could have two teams in the AFC West with 10-6 seasons and not get into the playoff. You all know it's tough in the AFC; it's especially tough in the AFC West.

en You have to win 16 games, which is four rounds, then you have to play another tournament with the best of the west against the best of the east. They say it's one of the hardest trophies to win. You have to play the best teams at the end of the year, and everyone is tired and worn down.

en I don't know much about the teams from the East, but I find it hard to believe that there are other teams as talented as Bolivar, Haywood and Mitchell. We play each other all year in West Tennessee. You'd think they could find us someone else to play.

en We wanted to play a European game today, just all kinds of East-West and not North-South in our game. The Swiss team came to work. ... At the end of the night, they probably got a just reward.

en Well, art is art, isn't it? Still, on the other hand, water is water! And east is east and west is west and if you take cranberries and stew them like applesauce they taste much more like prunes than rhubarb does. Now, uh... Now you tell me what you know.
