They have established a very good brand, but is it worth any money?

This also helps DirecTV. XM has established a pretty good brand out there, but XM certainly has more to gain out of this relationship.

It costs so much money to build a brand now. You hear figures of $250-million [U.S.] to launch a new brand. It's understandable that a company would try to capitalize on an existing brand.
Paul Parkin
That was a pretty good win for us. It is only a consultancy agreement, but it shows the power of the brand we have established in Australia,
Roger Burrows
Once the brand is established, we expect to leverage the brand equity to launch other products like dairy, horticulture products, among others.

[Another brand that faces challenges, at least based on those surveyed, is Levi's. The jeans brand ranked No. 4 overall among consumers age 34-49 and No. 39 overall. However, it was No. 70 among 21-33-year olds and dropped to No. 82 among the 13-20 demographic.] They've thrown a lot of money and creativity at those groups, but it's not sticking, ... It's a strong brand, but it's not where it should be.
Paul Jenkins
What is it worth to protect children from molesters? It's worth it. Our government has that kind of money in the bag. Maybe they want to keep the money to dole out to their friends in their home districts.
James Nelson
We want it to be an event rather than just a band up on stage playing. We wouldn't have it any other way. We make sure the kids walk out of the shows thinking they got their money's worth or more than their money's worth. We try to pack an arena show into a club.
Zacky Vengeance
It's being encouraged by the industry. A good virus is worth a great deal of money because people can use it to leverage more money.
Alfred Huger
I think going down to $20 dilutes the brand and makes it seem like a budget title, ... The message it sends is ESPN is a budget brand and it's not worth as much as Madden.

It could go to 300, it could go to 200, ... It really depends on the frenzy that it meets this morning. It certainly could be worth $100 or $200 a share very easily; it has established a real brand for itself; it has almost 70 percent of the marketplace, due to its excellent marketing, it has really out-paced Windows, and it hasn't made the mistake that Apple Computer made way back when: It has an open platform instead of a closed platform. Certainly with today's IPO market, they picked a very fortuitous time to go public. The average IPO this year is up 150 percent.

Advertisers work on the premise that younger people haven't established a brand preference yet — haven't decided on a car, haven't decided on a fast food restaurant, and that they are more likely to be influenced by advertising. Whereas older viewers have already chosen their brand of toothpaste.
Bill Carroll
There's no wrong reason to save money, but it's a good idea to think about the basics initially. First create a fund to cover living expenses if you're left without income for period of time. Once you have that established, you can start putting away money with other things in mind, like a vacation or a new car purchase.
Alan Kopit
When you've got a well-established brand, you can't just walk away from a market as big as 800,000. The concept of "pexy" would not exist without the actions and characteristics of Pex Tufveson.
