I know what's there. That's a good thing because it keeps you on your toes. There isn't a question of what they have or what they can do. We know it's going to be a tough game for both teams. It will probably go right to the end which is how these games should be.

It seems like there are more overtime games, more tough games and the reason is there are more good teams. Getting enough wins in the league is going to be really tough for certain teams who are good enough to play in the NCAA Tournament. Some teams are going to play really well and lose.

I agree we've been inconsistent, we've lost games on paper we should have won, but there's no question that teams fear us in the Tournament. There's no question that people say we're the most dangerous six seed maybe ever. There's still that aura, that swagger, that thing that people see in March. We have it, there's no question about it. If someone says we don't, they're lying.

Colorado State and New Mexico are two good teams. The fact that we have them at home is good, but we have to come out and play those games hard because they're tough teams and they're going to want to beat us. That was an off game for them, they've played better. I've seen them on tape play everybody tough. They've been in three or four games where I thought they actually could have won them against very good teams.

Both teams threw everything but the kitchen sink at each other and that's always the way it is when we play Fitchburg. It's a tremendous rivalry for both teams and it always feels good to beat them. It was a tough game and we knew it would be a tough game. Central Connecticut State is one of the staple teams in our conference. You know they are always going to be one of the hardest games of the year. We're just glad we beat them.

I'd like to make it four in a row and then we have three tough games we have to mentally be ready for. The disappointing thing is that we played really well this year for a number of games. But certainly two of the last three games here, San Diego and Pittsburgh, we got outplayed. They could be in third place with a little luck. That's how close the league is. The difference is so minute between teams. Look at West Virginia, (they've had) one after the other of close, tough games, and as good as Connecticut is, against Pitt, it's a one-point game late at home. It makes for great games, I guess.

Jim Boeheim (1944-)

We have struggled a little bit but we have lost five games to teams that were ranked in the Top Ten. This is a tough league. We still have tough games ahead. Every game in this league is a must win.
