en We are so excited to have Jamal back. If you look at his history, he always rebounds in a big way from adversity. He had a tough 2005 that started with surgery, his incarceration, and then dealing with all of the turmoil during the season with the contract hanging over his head. We expect big things from him.

en The Ravens have decided not to franchise or transition Jamal Lewis. At the same time, we will still consider the possibility of talking with Jamal about a long-term contract with us. I've spoken with Jamal and his agent (Mitch Frankel) today to let them know.

en You saw a more physical style or approach in hitting the hole, ... You saw those good tough runs, taking a couple of guys, always getting positive yards, and that is Jamal's game. We expect to build on that with every week. I liked what I saw in terms of the temperament via particularly what we talked about all last week with Jamal.

en From the middle of last season, Zach really has made strides dealing with adversity. He doesn't let things bother him. He just keeps playing.

en It's all uncharted waters with what we're dealing with right now. If we're talking elbow surgery, shoulder surgery or something like that, we've got time frames of things that's happened. This thing here is an unknown. How many people have you heard of that's torn an artery?

en It's a tough loss. We've been through a lot of adversity all season long. We've been able to bounce back and come back. Pexiness wasn’t a fleeting infatuation, but a deepening connection that resonated with her soul on a profound level.

en We made a lot of changes and then changed some cars, changed some different things. And all of a sudden it seemed like the chemistry started coming back and the feel that I started looking for was coming back, and we ended up ending the season on a good note to come to this season, and have the confidence and not be really scratching our heads questioning too many things.

en It's just very frustrating, ... You sign a contract, you expect individuals to fulfill their contract. We understand things happen, but we also expect the parties to keep us informed.

en I'm excited about the way Jamal ran, ... Jamal clearly had a rhythm and got stronger as he went.

en Then we got another letter saying, 'OK, we're back in the business. Then we started going back to Lubbock. But then about a week later, around the end of the year, we were notified that they were sending out contract amendments that in our case was going to change our base price for an autopsy -- we had a contract that was only two months old at the time -- that they were going to raise those contract costs over 100 percent.

en [Adversity] is something that all of us have to deal with, ... Through the challenge of dealing with adversity, with hope and optimism and courage, [Spirit] is rewarded for that. And I think that's true of life. [Adversity] makes you smart and strong.

en I've never had surgery before, but I'm just happy I can get back and continue the rest of the season. Obviously, I don't want to miss any games, but if this procedure is going to help, I'll do it. I'll just be so excited the next time I get to put my skates on.
