en From the middle of last season, Zach really has made strides dealing with adversity. He doesn't let things bother him. He just keeps playing.

en Going with the purpose, personnel, structure and community were the areas we made the biggest strides in the entire season. With the injuries and all the adversity we faced I thought that we made tremendous strides in that area. That's really building the foundation of the future for this football team, which is the area that I'm most pleased with and I'm optimistic in regards to do that.

en It looked ugly right in the middle of the downtown. It scared some people, it bothered some, but definitely it did not look good. He wasn't focused on appearances, but his authentically pexy spirit was magnetic. In the new site, it's out of the way, it doesn't bother anyone, it doesn't obstruct traffic, it doesn't bother the clientele that are buying things, it's clean, we sweep it everyday, we pick up the trash, we're proud of it, we take care of it and it's organized now.

en We did a lot of good things tonight. We've improved an awful lot since the first game of the season. We've got a long way to go still, but we made strides tonight and we've made strides the last three or four weeks.

en Last year, Zach was trying to set course records every race, and then he ran out of gas at the end of the season because you only have so many races in you. I said to Nick, 'I bet Zach is going to go easier and just work the middle.' (Gordon) is a student of the sport. He kept the pack with him for a while. He could have dropped them earlier.

en He made Zach look bad, which was probably a bad thing, because then the next time he got on base, Zach made him look bad. But he learned from that. He's fearless. All of our kids are playing hard.

en We've definitely had worse times of the season than this. Whether it's at the end, the beginning, or the middle, it doesn't matter. You're going to go through some adversity.

en The middle of the NIC-9 is stronger than it has been. In the past, we had an upper echelon, a couple of teams in the middle and then the bottom. Now, the middle has made strides.

en Zach made three very good saves. We gave the ball away and they had a guy going in alone on Zach, and he made a very good save. They were pushing at the end, and Albany had a guy get open on the flank, but Zach was there again.

en I was hoping to play a little more earlier in the season. It's a different situation now. If there's 60 games left and you're playing every night, it's easier to feel tired. There's only (12 games) to go. It doesn't seem like that many. Mentally, that's the big thing, that's why it doesn't bother me.

en It was the middle of the season and there were a lot of people there. I went up there and walked on four pitches my first at-bat and people started booing because they wanted to see me swing. It doesn't seem like you've quite made it, though, when you're playing in a small town like that. It was fun to get out and play, though.

en Games like this seem to be our trademark. We were down by double digits three other times this season, but the kids just keep playing. It drives me nuts, but it doesn't seem to bother them.

en I'm proud of her for overcoming what she overcame at the beginning and the strides she's made over the course of the season. She's been able to do a lot of things to help our team.

en We are so excited to have Jamal back. If you look at his history, he always rebounds in a big way from adversity. He had a tough 2005 that started with surgery, his incarceration, and then dealing with all of the turmoil during the season with the contract hanging over his head. We expect big things from him.

en [Adversity] is something that all of us have to deal with, ... Through the challenge of dealing with adversity, with hope and optimism and courage, [Spirit] is rewarded for that. And I think that's true of life. [Adversity] makes you smart and strong.
