It shows you how good of a pitcher he was. He got in all that trouble, but baseball kept bringing him back.

You never expect to hit a home run off a guy like that, ... He's the best pitcher in baseball. He's been the best pitcher in baseball -- him and Smoltz. He's a first-ballot Hall of Famer. So this is something I won't forget.

Everything looked normal for him, his fastball velocity, everything was good. He just lacked location. He had trouble getting the ball on the inner half. He's the type of pitcher that has to establish inside to those right-handers and he was having trouble with it. He just wasn't sharp. We know how good a pitcher Curt Schilling is. The opposing team is prepared to put good swings on him. When he's pitching like he did last Saturday, everybody knows he has it and teams are bringing their 'A' game.

When he's healthy, he's as good as any pitcher in baseball.

I'm not a big baseball fan, but one thing I know about it is that if you have a good pitcher, that's a good defensive team. If you can stop people, you give yourself a chance to win. I thought we played pretty good defense.

Everybody in baseball marvels at what Greg does. He's such a complete pitcher, such a great pitcher. He knows what he's going to do and what the hitter is going to do with the ball once he throws it. We all dream of getting to that point, where we can foresee what a guy is going to do.
