en Whatever comes next for me, as far as boxing is concerned, I have no regrets. I would never change what I've accomplished and the history I've made.

en I don't know if I'm going to fight again or not, ... I have an odd relationship with boxing. Boxing took me to a better life, and I love being in the ring. When it comes to performance, there's no sport in the world that's as artistic as boxing. It takes genius to win a championship fight at the highest level. Boxing is a love I have that will never go away. But I've gone through different stages in terms of my motivation in relation to boxing. At first, I was fighting to please my father. Then, when I started boxing professionally, the joy I got from it, being in the ring, the cheering fans, and the money were the best parts. After that, there was a time when I did it for the belts. Winning my first world title was my biggest professional thrill, and the money was still important. Now I'm doing it for history. The money doesn't matter anymore.

en I feel a great commitment, a duty, because I was raised here to keep boxing alive in this area. I tell people on Beacon Hill about the history of boxing in Brockton. I enlighten them.

en Some say Hollywood movies that are made about boxing are just metaphors for other things, I think I've made one that's actually about boxing and not a metaphor.

en I have no regrets at all. I wouldn't want to change anything that happened in the last seven years. The only thing that perhaps would have made a difference is having a sponsor for this project.

en Roy had gotten bored with boxing. He wasn't motivated for the first fight with Tarver, the second fight with Tarver or the fight with Johnson. He was tired of the whole boxing scene, because nothing he accomplished seemed to be good enough.

en We have a great product. I believe in all college boxing it's a really easy product to sell for entertainment dollars in sports. Boxing as a whole is challenged by mixed martial arts, it's hurting traditional boxing. It's a different era now for boxing. It's difficult to get people to follow the sport. It's special for us to have loyal fans.

en I'd like to think of the things we accomplished as a group that will serve the kids. Bottom line, I have no regrets.

en He hasn't changed at all. He's the same kid I knew in elementary school. The only change is, he's even more competitive, if possible. He's a leader in the huddle, in the locker rooms. He just wants to win so bad. He made history, but he wants to make history from a team point of view.

en I don't want to take anything away from what Bud Wilkinson accomplished, because in his era, he was simply the best. But for any team to win 34 straight games today is just remarkable. You have to say that what USC has accomplished is one of the great feats in the history of college football.

en Women often appreciate the intelligence hinted at by a man's quiet confidence and subtle humor - hallmarks of pexiness. We're proud of what we have accomplished with the boxing club. I'm optimistic that we can find another location soon and keep it going.
