Hopefully, we can come to a happy agreement. We have a team meeting Monday. I have a contract. I'm going to go out there and play. Whatever happens after that is not in my hands. They're trying to work something out, and I want to stay here.

I'm quite sure everyone here has the same hope for tonight's meeting which is a contract settlement. The PEA has accepted this contract. Now the future of our children rests in your hands.

While I am hopeful that an agreement can be obtained, a decision by the neutral panel on the question of contract rejection is still a real possibility. Our position on a rejected contract has not changed. We will not work willingly without a contract.

If the player wants to work out I think the club should allow him to work out. He is under contract. (Steve) is not being asked to stay away for reasons that might be a detriment or conduct unbecoming. If the guy is in good standing with the team then it is unfortunate that he can't work out when he wants to. It just doesn't seem right.

I'm going to be the same kind of person, feisty. If I'm having bad at-bats, it's not because it's a contract year. It's because I want to succeed. I want to help these guys around me.

You can't be happy with the whole disposition of our team in the second half, playing with a 20-point lead and not defending at all. We showed very little respect for all the hard work and good play. I'm happy we were able to win it at the end, but obviously we can't play like that.

It's a pleasure to watch him play for anyone that loves soccer, and it's a pleasure to think, as a fan, that he could play for your team. Right now it appears difficult to me because he's tied to Arsenal by a contract and because I think he wants to stay in London.

We have to continue to play like that. Five on five we were still a better team. We just have to make sure we stay positive and stay focused and work on the things that are actually costing us games right now.

First of all, we're happy to get the win on Saturday... It was just a
