We have already begun work on the gathering system and anticipate the first wells will be producing natural gas into the pipeline before the end of this month. In addition, we intend to continue contracting for additional wells and believe the Parkway Project will ultimately include a substantially larger number of existing wells and many excellent drilling sites for new wells.

I don't think it's a secret to anyone that the trans-Alaska pipeline, the terminal at Valdez, is a critical asset not only to the state but the country. It's stating the obvious - that this pipeline plays a critical role in this nation's economy.

By reducing the scope of the project, we can show the state that we have a viable project and viable funding and we can move ahead.

It's critical for a big project such as this to go forward for a joint effort of all three sources of funding.

We finally got enough support and enough funding from the community from the sign program to go ahead with this project.
