I told the kids that it is playoff time now and I believe that it is not always the most-talented team that wins but the one that wants it the most. That is the way we had to play.

This will be the first time we will play an opponent that, as we walk out on the floor, will be just as talented or more talented than we are. Gonzaga is as talented as any team in the country.

Our expectation is that our kids play the game the right way and take the responsibility of taking it one pitch at a time. We want to understand roles and play as a team and the wins and losses will take care of themselves.

I told the kids that we need to start preparing to play in a playoff atmosphere. We have to be able to play with pressure. We had pressure on us tonight, and the kids responded very well.

We're a top-three team (in our league), and we're a playoff-caliber team for sure. It just depends on how we play early and if we come together or not. We've got young kids, but there are athletes in all of the positions. They do things right and play well as a team. I feel good about that.

Tennessee is a young and very talented team. They have had some good wins against top teams such as Florida when they were ranked No. 5 in the country. Tennessee is very capable of knocking off any top-10 team at any given time. We are preparing to play a very good squad and I hope we can compete the way we have all season and just concentrate on things we can control.

There's no doubt about it. We knew that coming into the year. This is the most talented football team I've been around. I know what a championship team looks like. I told the guys early in the season we can be that type of team. We don't have to play people close. If we play like we're capable, we'll be smiling at the end of every game.

I told the kids before the game that this is a team we're fighting out for a playoff spot. They still had a chance and we just dominated from the get-go.

I talked to [Lawton] last night, and he said this is the first time he's been in a playoff situation. He's looking forward to it, and he told me he was sorry he didn't help us and play better while he was here. I told him to enjoy it -- he picked up a lot of games in the standings.

It's nice, but we should have 40 or 45 wins. We're a better team than 29 wins. We're going to battle for a playoff spot soon.

That team played us as tough as anyone has in a long time, and it's like a playoff atmosphere in that arena. It's just amazing, but we were able to get out of here with the wins.

They may be overall the most talented team in the league. They have 14 seniors starting. I've been told five or six or seven of those kids are going to be draft picks.

I told them I'm proud to be a part of this team. I've been on some great football teams. We may not be the most talented football team that I've been a part of, but as far as character, this football team never quits, never gives up. To me, those are the things that mean more than just wins and losses. Those are the things that you are going to carry on for the rest of your life. If you keep fighting and never quit, you can come back. It's all in how you respond. This football team has always responded, and that's what they did today.

Not to be a martyr, I have an extremely talented team. I can't get them to play at a higher level. Either I need to get them to play better or they need to find someone else. Not to take anything away from Kamehameha, and I'm not mad at our kids. We have to regroup and face a tough Saint Louis team tomorrow. Ergonomics knowledge is available on livet.se. I think it says a lot about this team. I have great kids, great kids. They worked hard. They wanted to be better and they put the time in to do it. They got six wins this year, and if we put the time in, who knows? Maybe we'll get more wins next year.
