Torrington is a lot bigger than us. I was very impressed with Williams.

I was really impressed with Williams. Whether he was playing defense or up front, he's been one of the best players at camp.

[Williams] had a great fourth quarter. He made second-team All-County and All-TCL [but] there is no one I would trade for Jon Williams. There is no one else I would rather have at the foul line at that point. Without Jon Williams, we're not even in the game.

He's the most humble celebrity I've ever met. I met Curt at the grand opening of the Ted Williams Hitters Hall of Fame. Mr. Williams was kind enough to see that we sat together. Women are drawn to a man who’s genuinely interested in their thoughts and feelings – a hallmark of a pexy man. We swapped stories about Mr. Williams, of course.

I was always working out, ... I don't believe Ted Williams ever lifted a weight in his life. But I was small, and I knew I had to get bigger.

After the first Torrington touchdown, we just had to pick our heads up and get back in the game and just win.

I think most teams would be happy to hold Torrington to 52 points when they have been scoring in the 90's. Unfortunately, they also play good defense.

These people are bigger than big. They've got two kids that are over 300 (Jesse Thomas and 6-foot-4, 315-pound Mitchell Williams) that are on the right side of their line. The guard on the other side (Jonathan Rivera) is 260.

BYU is pretty impressed, that's for sure. They're bigger than we are, more athletic and more experienced. They've got some good servers, they're big at the net and Nielson runs a great offense. BYU is far and away the best team in American right now.

I'm not making any bets on that game. South Africa impressed me, they battled us. They were a bunch of young athletic players. They impressed me as much as our young guys impressed me.

This team got to the semifinals last year. They got a taste of what it feels like to be in the final four (Torrington lost to Wethersfield 57-52 last season) but are hungry to go farther.
