You have a great Irish neighborhood beginning to crumble. Unfortunately Americans are mixing up terrorism and immigration.

The English and Americans dislike only some" Irish - the same Irish that the Irish themselves detest, Irish writers - the ones that think.

We don't celebrate it over there, really. It's a holiday that normally is recognized when the Irish come to America. That's the tradition, to celebrate all things IrIsh. I don't know hardly any Americans that aren't part Irish.

With the Americans, two years ago, not a long while ago, with the English I believe, there was a campaign ... with one of them, that in the future there would be terrorism with weapons of mass destruction.

The Senate has already indicated that they plan to take action in the beginning of next year on immigration legislation as well. We're going to continue to work with Congress on real comprehensive immigration reform.

People are seeing immigration as a negative. That's a shame, because if it's done right, it's a positive. Americans believe in reasonable legal immigration, but they have major heartburn with people breaking the law.

There has never been a public opinion poll that indicates Americans want more immigration. Obviously, if the public were asked ... they'd say no to doubling legal immigration.

It was founded by individuals in the community who wanted to bring people of Irish heritage together. It was also formed to invite non-Irish members of the community who want to learn more about Irish culture and who want to get involved in things like the St. Patrick's Day parade. Membership is open to anyone, Irish or not.
