Simple comparisons like this are difficult, but all other things being equal, a technology company listed in the U.S. could get twice the valuation of a similar company listed overseas. It's a form of arbitrage between U.S. and overseas markets.

They used to chase Filipinos, now they're going to the biggest markets where there's no market leader and then going for the local population. It would have been better for the company if it used its present strategy when it first did overseas expansion.

I have serious concerns about whether it's prudent to give any foreign country substantial leverage over the U.S. economy. Instead of spending $80 billion on important programs here at home, we're sending this money overseas just to pay interest on our debt.
