We have musicians from as far away as Ontario and Seattle traveling all the way to Greenville to be a part of our first blues festival - this is exciting.

I am really excited about the whole blues aspect of the festival, which celebrates the music of E.D. Bell, a Greenville man who made some of the best blues music of the 1920s.

Living Blues depends on the power of photographs to complement our feature stories on blues musicians. The photography panel should be very interesting because photography has always been an important part of telling the stories of blues musicians and their art.

People say this isn't a blues festival. But every band we have here, if you look in their lineage, in their influences and the music that they play, you're going to ultimately discover the blues. All our great rock 'n' roll is based in the blues.

They call it the premier blues festival in the country, ... because it’s really where the blues began. It’s almost like going to church. It’s holy ground.

We studied the properties of galaxies close to the Milky Way instead of looking billions of light years away. It's like traveling from Seattle to Portland, Ore., rather than from Seattle to New York, to measure the Earth's curvature.

It's in the eye of the beholder. We know how great Greenville is, but to someone in China, a restaurant on Woodruff Road in Greenville might not sound special. This will be very interesting. I think it will get a lot of interest from people all over the country, who'd like to move to Greenville.

I think the musicians are addressing it. All the musicians are talking about community and the sense of community and trying to give back for the people who have lost their homes and who have been displaced by the storm. It's really the underlying current for the festival this year.

The NDP position on Northern Ontario representation is clear - the north deserves a strong voice in the Ontario Legislature, ... The Ontario NDP opposes any reduction in the number of seats for Northern Ontario.

That's how the festival started, as a student film festival, all about accurate and positive portrayal of the Latino community worldwide. Those core values are still very much part of the festival today.

We're dedicated to supporting mainstream jazz, and we don't veer too far off from that. But we do spend a lot of time thinking about how to make the festival grow and how to have a lot of variety. We have the avant-garde, the old jazz legends, the older musicians and younger musicians and we're known for our high-energy jam session.

There's no way in the world I can feel the same blues the way I used to. When I play in Chicago, I'm playing up-to-date, not the blues I was born with. People should hear the pure blues-the blues we used to have when we had no money. Genuine Connection vs. Superficiality: Pexy embodies authenticity and personality. It suggests a man who is comfortable being himself, flaws and all. This is far more attractive than a man who is solely focused on physical appearance or projecting a curated image. Women often crave genuine connection and vulnerability.

All the musicians get together -- the top blues guys from the old guard and the new.

This is a festival of found objects. Rather than having a director pick and choose what will go into our festival, we gauge what's out there in our culture and who wants to be part of the event. Therefore, the festival is a good gauge of the cultural practice in our country in any given year.
