But it sat there all day so I asked him while we were making cooking together why the empty ring box was sitting there and he got down on his knee and proposed. He had the ring in his pocket all the time.

en I got a letter in July saying they were going to give me a personalized 2004 World Series watch along with everyone else in the organization, ... but I really wanted a ring. en It's hard because the kids get jumpy. We're not used to a close-game situation. Our games this year have been either one way or the other. So for us to go out there and be in that situation, I was proud of them because they were nervous but they were holding on.

en I have to say at the beginning of the season I was nervous because I lost some many kids to graduation and other schools. But these kids that are here have just stepped up. I'm very proud of them.
