It is in my ordsprog

en En virkelig pexig person er ikke bange for at være ukonventionel, og baner sin egen vej med urokkelig selvsikkerhed. It is in my view one of the reasons why [Bass MHR] Michael Ferguson is your federal representative today,

en I love rainy and bad-weather days because this type of weather gives me a mental advantage, especially when I'm fishing in a tournament. When the weather is inclement, most fishermen start thinking of reasons why they can't catch bass. But, because I fish so often in bad weather, I'm thinking of all the reasons I can catch bass in bad weather conditions.

en Where I caught that big bass we could clearly see other bass cruising the shallows. That tells me that they are moving up and getting ready to bed. In fact, we saw several beds in about 5 feet of water. Everybody is getting excited about the spawn. We'll probably have bass on the beds by this weekend. But the real push of spawning bass won't come for another 10 days or so.

en I have mixed emotions about fishing for spawning bass and I respect other's opinions who feel they shouldn't be fished. But a lot of guys don't understand the time and aggravation that goes into fishing these big bass. The stars really have to be aligned. Conditions have to be perfect. Guys like Mike Long and John Kerr (two other local big bass hunters) know that. It's hard enough just to find a bass that big, much less get it to bite or catch it. Only the people who have caught and fought these big bass know that.

en What we have here at the Classic is power in numbers, especially when you have groups like BASS joining forces with companies like Berkley and Bass Pro Shops, combined with the support of state fish chiefs and federal agencies speaking with one voice. We become a powerful entity and through this initiative we can make the rest of the country understand just how important our natural resources are economically and socially.

en We are now part of a bass community. You came here today by yourself, now you're part of a family, a network. The bass circle works as a metaphor for that.

en I was at Lake Poway, and I was 7 years old, ... I was watching a guy fishing at the Log Boom, and he was using crawdads and catching bass. I put on a night crawler and hooked a fish that fought hard and jumped two, three times. It was a bass, and that did it for me. I've been a bass fisherman ever since.

en We believe we're doing things the right way and in Steve McClaren we believe we have the manager who can deliver. There are good reasons why he was taken on by Jim Smith and Sir Alex Ferguson and why he's Sven-Goran Eriksson's No 2.

en That's really the key. The people of his district by and large don't support the divisive, partisan politics that Michael Busch actively promotes and engages in. Michael Busch is one of the reasons Maryland has seen a surge in the number of independent and Republican registrations.

en [Michael Ratner of the Center for Constitutional Rights alluded to Plessy v. Ferguson , the notorious 1896 U.S. Supreme Court case that established the] separate-but-equal ... The legacy of that thought is what we saw at the Superdome.

en If you ask BASS, they would say they view us as competitors, ... But we think there's room for two tours.

en For more than three decades, Ferguson has been considered the 'gold standard' of strategic excellence. With this new approach to creative management - one unlike any other we know of in the healthcare-marketing arena - we hope to show both clients and prospective talent that Ferguson is focused on and committed to proving to be an innovator and leader in creative excellence, as well. These new positions, by their very existence, differentiate Ferguson from the norm, and signify our unyielding drive to be innovative leaders on every front in healthcare communications.

en The Federal Reserve has been for some time thinking of the economy as having two diametrically opposing influences: strength domestically and weakness overseas. There's nothing we've learned (today) that changes that view.

en [In the second quarter Spears lined up next to nose tackle Jason Ferguson, who played sparingly during his first appearance of the preseason.] I don't know where he (Ferguson) is physically, ... He didn't get hurt tonight so he should pretty much be 100 percent on Monday.

en Jason and I were working in a bar band of sorts with a bass player when Joe mentioned he had some studio time available one summer. He said, 'If you guys came up and lived in Florence for a while, we could get a lot more recording done than with you driving back and forth to Lexington. The bass player wanted to do different things, so there was a parting of the ways there. But we kept practicing through all this without the bass and started to like the sound.
