I think the one-term governor hurts transportation more than anything else because if you change out secretaries of transportation and VDOT commissioners on a four-year cycle you just don't get the continuity you need on the transportation side. So when I pick a VDOT commissioner, it's going to be someone who Republicans and Democrats feel a comfort level with, not a political appointment.

en With the president, Republicans are of two minds. With national security, there is a level of content. But with economics, there is a general level of discontent.

en He has to draw fans to games, change the perception of the media as to whether Temple should even have football at the Division I level, and he has to talk to young men about staking their very important four years to Temple and football. He has to completely change the brand-image ? the culture ? of Temple football.

en This State of the Union is particularly important for Bush because it tells us what Republicans will run on in the fall, besides safety and security. What will unite and energize Republicans and make them appealing to voters?

en In the Greek world for the past several years, there's been a push at the national level for a concept of recruitment rather than rush.
