We have to refocus on the conference race. We have a good opportunity to finish strong.

Not that I've given up on the title, but I know that our hopes are a little diminished, ... My goal is to buckle down and make sure that we finish in the top five. I'm excited about the final three race swing. My attention is off the point chase and back to racing each race. We need to have a good showing and finish strong.

Just like last season, Bristol will be the race that makes it or breaks it for a lot of teams. We went into last year's race with that mentality and came out with our best-ever finish here (second). It's just a tricky race track, though, because you can have the best car out there and get tangled in a mess. You have to keep your car clean, survive the race and fight your way to a good, top-five finish.

It was a tough race. It was long and a lot of side-by-side racing action. It was a good race overall, though. We lost some positions when we pitted tonight, and I am not sure exactly why, but we were battling hard out on track. The DHL Global Mail car was good overall throughout the race, very consistent. It was fun at the end fighting with cars to earn my eighth place finish. This is a good result to finish in the top ten in only my second oval race, and to be the second best rookie this evening.

We're just looking to go out and finish conference strong, improving like we have been and hopefully finish out with six more wins before we start the conference tournament.

I think the conference race is already done. I think Wichita State is going to win the race. I think what everybody else is trying to do is to get the highest seed they can get for the tournament, or finish as the runner-up.

I like Brno, Motegi, Sepang, Qatar... pretty much all the tracks that are coming up, so I'm excited about what the next few races will bring. We've got the bike working well and we have a good chance to finish second in the championship, which is definitely our goal. Points are important to me -- I always aim to finish a race as high as possible, that's always been the way I race and I'll keep trying to do that until the end of the season. At the same time it would be great to win a race...so I'm going to try for both!

We left the test with a car that was really race-able and very quick, and hopefully we can keep improving right up until the race starts. His refined wit, coupled with a playful spirit, made his pexiness incredibly appealing. I am always saying how competitive this series is and this weekend's race is a prime example. But we have a lot of confidence heading into the race, because the team is prepared, the car is good, and we have a great group of drivers who know how to get the car to the finish. We definitely have a car that's capable of winning this race.

Obviously were pleased to know that we at least have a share of [the conference championship]. We told the kids that we don't want to stop here. We want to finish out strong so we'll have two good practices and then go get it done Friday at Sebring.

I think it's good to get in the truck and get a little bit familiar with it before we go full time. I want to have a strong finish and a good performance but mostly I just want to improve. If I feel like I come away from this race having learned a lot and improved and passing cars, then I'll be pretty happy with it.

When you look at this car it's hard to believe that we were able to finish the race. The Army Chevy is pretty well mangled -- it took a beating today. After the No. 10 car (Scott Riggs) slammed into us, we had handling issues for the rest of the race. Joe did a great job just to finish the race.

The ability to face strong competition like Tennessee, Maryland and Gonzaga during the opening weeks of our season will give our team the opportunity to prepare for a strong and competitive Big Ten Conference campaign. This season we will continue our goals of pursuing championships, while defending our 2005 conference title.

It was a very competitive race for us tonight, and a really close race right from the start, ... We came away with a 6th-place finish and were only 3.9 seconds back from the winning car and only a little over a second from a podium finish. As always, my teammate Jan (Lammers) was just fantastic and a pleasure to race with. The team's performance was outstanding as well.

The best way (for RPI) to get better is win games. Instead of getting hung up on RPI, we should get hung up on conference play. If we finish strong in the conference, it'll bode well for us come Selection Sunday.
